Thursday, 12 November 2009

Ok, this is one of those situations when you just have to ask yourself: what were they thinking? Not very straight, I tell you.

November Grace

Friday, 6 November 2009

And if you don't like my suggestion right below, Ms. Tori Amos has come through once again and is giving this picture you see above as a free Christmas postcard to everyone who's buying the regular edition of her forthcoming Yuletide (oops, sorry: make that "solstice") record, Midwinter Graces. So start pushing those "buy" buttons to get one of these! I know I will.

Christmas maid in Japan

Only in Japan... At least they look kinda sexy. Kinda. In a weird, kooky way, that is.

Santa Tim

What a great photo! I absolutely love it! You can find it in this month's edition of Harper's Bazaar who's dedicating a whole fashion spread to the exhibition held at NY's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) celebrating the arts and crafts of director extraordinaire, Tim Burton. Wish I could go there. Oh, well, you can't have it all.

A Tori Christmas

Monday, 28 September 2009

Ok, so one more dream come true: my favorite recording artist of all time, Ms. Tori Amos has just gone and made one of my wildest dreams come true. Want to know what it is? Simple. She's going to release a whole Christmas album next November! No kidding! It's called Midwinter Graces and from the looks of it, it's going to be marvelous. Old classics next to new compositions by Amos herself, I'm betting it's going to become a perennial yuletide record and one that every christmas music lover is going to be adding to their collection as soon as it comes out. I know I am. November can't come soon enough!

About Christmas Deluxe

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
